Description
These assignments were for clients and charities. You have to give them what they want, but still include your own tastes...
They wanted this picture (very old), but in a long card design.
I made several variations.
(The original's in color; but the color was so-so; so we went with mono instead. I tinted it a bit...)

Only you can do this and end up with a briliant result. Looks fantastic, Mark :)

Outrageously cool and wicked postwork. Looks like a winter scene where everything is covered in ice.

This is just fabulous Mark! I love the mono with the ever so slight tint. Great work my friend.

Beautiful result.
The gentleman reminds me of the images in a tailors' style book of the 1960's, or though I suspect it went back decades before that.
I went with a friend to Austin Reed mens outfitters for him to be measured for a tailor-made suit. We perused the book. The obsequious assistant pointed to a particular body shape .." May I suggest that Sir is 'Short but Portly'. "
Spot on there, but nowadays I don't think it is PC to mention OBESITY., so thousands think it's OK to kill yourself with burgers.

It's black and white in a somewhat aura of frailty, Mark. I don't know about it looking old, it seems so delicate for that. Hard for me to judge since my zoom option is all backwards, so I'll to play it by ear.

You do high key better than anyone I've seen. At first I thought this was an Infrared image. Well done! I trust the client was pleased.

This is wonderful, Mark! It reminds me a lot of the results you'd get with the old infrared film. I didn't use it much, but it did give you images similar to this with a wonderful, otherworldly look.

I remember the original very well, and I must say that I think they missed out taking this in mono. The color version was so delicate, so perfect, that it's one that has stayed with me all these years. I think it's one of your finest pieces. Of course everyone gets to like what they like, and one person's treasure is another's trash, but seriously ... the color version was freakin' amazing! There's not a thing wrong with this version, it's lovely, but the delicate greens of the original are still speaking to me.

What a frigid capture, Mark. Much enjoy frosted branches like this in photos. Love the two in the right just walking into your capture as the little one pears over at you.
