I'm only back for a couple of days this time, so I can't do more than a few images. I'll do more when I return with more time...and, as you know, I see everything, and it's never easy to have to 'choose'...I love this image as a realization of your title: I'd never have guessed this would be your result. This water sorceress is either out of the water for your 'photo shoot' (photo shoot of the mind and soul, that is), or else she's under water, where she allowed an unusually clarified view of herself. I love how you conceive her, as a classic posed model, and how you use that pedestal 'prop' as one of the only elements in the piece other than her (this really feels like a studio image, which I love), and you've draped the pedestal---as a photographer would---with simple beautiful aqua green-blue lace. Then a scepter maybe? That tall rod with the lights on either end? I'm not sure what it is, but it feels like an instrument she uses, in a very pared down, modern version (rather than an ancient-mythic scepter): very imaginative. Her face is in shadow, for mystery; and while she poses for you, she seems to have some real plans hidden in her. I love the dark background, like it's in the deep sea...and the fact that you say she will put out our fire means that she has real powers---which can be positive or negative, depending on the person. A terrific, imaginative vision of a water goddess, Dee. Simple and terrific.
