Description
Thanks for all the replies everyone.
Joshua watched as Ami walked through the private park that sat at the center of the Montal family compound, the collection of buildings where Magenta Montal and most of her children lived. With her was her niece V'reenda, smiling as she was told of her family. Several times Ami would turn and point at Joshua as they talked. Beyond them he could see Mala and Nani listening to some of his music and dancing about.
"Those two seem to be having a lot of fun," Ateia said as she stepped beside Joshua.
"Mala and Nani, or Ami and V'reenda?" He asked with a quick glance over his shoulder. Coming up the hall to the observation room were Mulk and Pehn. "Looks like the rest of the gang's here. Let's get this started, shall we?"
"What do you mean?" Pehn asked as they stepped into the room.
"You're all here to talk to me about my cousin, V'reenda."
"And do you know why we're here?" Mulk asked.
"Most likely it's about the fact that you sense she's a Sith," Kirk said as he looked from face to face.
"So you know?" Pehn said in an irritated tone.
"Yes."
"Did she tell you?" Ateia asked him.
"No. While at the hospital, I had a Force vision," The three Jedi glanced at one another quickly.
"What did you see?" The Mazuran asked, his red eyes boring into his own. Joshua told them what he'd seen and felt in the vision.
"Are you sure that lives depend on him being kept alive?" Pehn asked.
"Yes. It was like the Force was shouting at me. Telling me to save him at all costs. That's billions would die if I couldn't."
"Describe this Master you saw," Mulk told Kirk. When he did, the green skinned man shook his head. "Lord Mateesa."
"Did you know him Master Uriss?" Ateia asked the old Mazuran.
"At one time, he was my master."
"He taught you?" Pehn asked, curious about the background of her old master.
"He was actually my second teacher. The first I killed when he turned out to be too weak. He turned down Kaan when he and Mateesa came to ask us to join his Sith Brotherhood. I thought it to be a great idea. But my master felt that they were foolish to gather together like the Jedi did. And he made the mistake of pulling his lightsaber on me when I told him that it was he who was wrong."
"Needless to say, Kaan and Mateesa were impressed. Mateesa took me on to finish my training. And it was then that Kaan gave me my Sith name, Arcoud, the Executioner," Mulk stared into space for a moment. "If he's still alive, then he's more than three thousand years old."
Joshua then went on to tell them about the Sith civil war, and what V'reenda had told them about the Master, and what he was teaching them. Mulk grinned and shook his head.
"I guess I know who stole my holocron at Ruusan," He said to the others. "Because his teachings sound eerily similar to what I put in it. If he is using my teachings, then he does not represent the threat that these other Sith do. You see, I felt that the Sith were doomed to always fail because of their cruelty. The people would always cast them down for it. I on the other hand felt that it was possible to co-exist with the Jedi. Not working hand in hand mind you. I still felt that aquiring power was what was most important to a Sith."
"But that is the past," Ateia said. "It's time for you to begin training Josh."
"There is one more thing you need to know," Joshua told the others. "I met this Mateesa on Khatta."
"You did?" Mulk asked
"Yes, and I almost left with them," Kirk said.
"Ok Joshua. You've been doing very well this week. Your control is most impressive. Now let's really test you," Ateia pointed to seven containers along the far wall. "Lift all of them. And try to keep them at different heights off the floor."
Joshua did as asked. The seven objects slowly lifted from the floor. And as they did, music began to play over the sound system in the gym. Kirk smiled as the sounds of Marvin Gaye filled the room. The last time he'd heard this song was when he'd first met Magenta Montal. He smiled wider at the memories of his first meeting with Magenta. Ateia then wrapped her arms around Joshua's neck and began whispering obscenely in his ear. After several seconds of that, she jumped up and began to dance provocatively before him.
The doors to the gym slammed open and Mala and Nani, who'd been hiding outside came running in, peppering Joshua with questions.
"Joshua, who is this singing?" Mala asked excitedly.
"Marvin Gaye," He told her. "He was one of the best, if not the best, singers of his time."
"Joshua!" Nani cut in quickly. "That swoopbike you bought me keeps losing power when I hit the accellerator suddenly. What do you think is wrong with it?"
"Sounds like the connection to the power converter is loose. We'll check it later today."
"Who do you think is the best actor ever?" Mala continued.
"Humphrey Bogart. Without a doubt!"
"Who do you consider the worst musical act of all time?" Nani asked.
"Figrin D'an And The Modal Nodes!" He said disgustedly. "Come on, Nani! Fifteen hundred people committed suicide after their last show here on Coruscant. They've been banned from ever performing again. They are now listed as a threat to galactic civilization."
"What's the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?" Mala shouted.
"African, or European?"
"What was the funniest movie ever made?" Nani asked as she poked him in the shoulder with her finger.
"The Trials Of Joshua Kirk!" He shot back instantly. "It's also the worst movie ever made! It was supposed to be about my life up to the attempt to court martial me. It got nothing right about me. Including my name! Joshua Cicero Kirk, indeed! Only time I ever saw my Uncle Spock laugh in public, that's how bad it was!"
"OK, ok!" Ateia said with a laugh after five minutes of this. "You girls can stop now. He's passed this test."
"How did I do?" The man asked as he lowered the boxes.
"Obi Wan couldn't have done it!" The tall Jedi said with a grin. "Master Yoda could have. Possibly Master Windu. Your concentration is amazing!"
"Well, the truth is, I can work on several problems at one time with this brain of mine," Joshua jerked his head in Mala's direction. "She could have come in here with all her sisters and danced about and pestered me with questions, and it would not have made a difference. As long as I kept a part of my brain focused on those containers, they would stay up in the air."
"That's an amazing brain you have there," Nani said.
"The most advanced ever designed!" Kirk said.
"Hey, short stuff!" Denise Williamson shouted from the door. "Get your ass off the floor and head for the infirmary! There's a baby on the way!" Joshua was instantly on his feet, and out the door, quickly followed by Mala. Ateia and Nani watched them sprint down the hall. The girl turned to her mother and shrugged.
"Shall we?" She enquired.
"Why not?" Her mother smiled before jogging down the corridor.

Great work.

I found it very hard to concentrate after the unladen swallow bit. I'd have failed. One of the funniest movies ever made. I really dig the posing in the render.
