Description

The second in my "dreamscape" series. This is Mara, The Rider. From Norse and Anglo-saxon mythology, Mara is the giver of nightmares. Associated with the incubus and succubus, she is usually depicted as slightly less pretty than she is here. What the heck, I'm feeling generous. If you're wondering; the reason I'm obsessed with dreams right now is because I've been battling insomnia for over a month. When my strung-out nerves finally let me get to sleep, night sweats wake me up after less than an hour. I don't even remember the last time I got a full, uninterrupted six hours of sleep. Oh, well...
