Pure delight. I love the girl, with her full broad features, and her curls, and that great matching outfit and hat. Love it---and the color matches her beautiful chocolate-creamy color. Love those big brown eyes too. And the big fairy tale mushrooms. And the butterflies and the squirrel, with a great tail, like a backpack! A kind of misty late-day image, with the feeling of spirits and magic in the air...reminds me of A Midsummer Night's Dream (the play, and just the story) where we expect spirits to pop out and take over the whole place---as if they haven't already. Pure childhood magic, and it has the feel like it was carved from glass, candy and ceramics. Beautiful work, Barb.
well I'm at almost 30 minutes (I'm slow!) and I'm beginning to tire---not because of your work, just because of my health; and, as I have strict orders to rest when that happens, I'll stop here.
