The REAL Starman......
One of my personal Heroes, Physicist Stephen Hawking has now become part of the cosmos he loved so much.
He taught us about black holes, quantum physics, string theory, and many other things beyond imagination. Most of all, he taught us that disabilities are not a disability at all.
Live long and prosper, Professor...

Stephen Hawking is one of my heroes, and I am truly saddened by his passing. I admire Hawking not only for his work but also for his ability to overcome the unbelievable restrictions that ALS imposed on him...I have thought that perhaps it was precisely the ALS that "allowed" his mental capabilities to expand and flourish. His contribution to physics will undoubtedly be the foundation for many future studies and discoveries. Humanity and the scientific community and its endeavors in the field of physics were fortunate indeed that, in spite of his horrid affliction, he was able to live as long as he did. I also loved his wacky wit :)

I loved his sense of humor about his life. He appeared a few times on Big Bang Theory, and was very funny. But my favorite thing Hawking did was the song Keep Talking that he did with Pink Floyd.

I think he would tell us all to look to the future and wonder who will be the next scientific super-hero and where he will lead us in terms of understanding the universe and more importantly, ourselves. . . rip Stephen.

Beautiful dedication, Rod. I heard it on a news extra here last night. The ALS may well have contributed to his great intellect since the body compensates a weakness by developing other strengths. I'm sad to see him go, but he has entered another dimension of the universe and I bet he's having a ball of a time discussing the universe with Einstein. Keep up the good work! :-)

Very nice tribute Rod! He was really special man and a great genius in physics. It seemed to me he always wanted to prove, that there is no god or at least, that he's obsolete nowadays. I believe he's standing now (finally standing again :-D) in front of his loving creator who hug's him and expresses his love to him. He's now in the presence, face to face with the one who made this awesome universe and I bet he get's now a muuuch muuuch deeper understanding of how it all works together. R.I.P. Stephen
