Christina, this is an excellent picture and I do mean that, but the eagle's pose implies that he's about to attack the fish, but the fish has already been caught, you see. In reality, he would be recovering from the dive and taking off again, in which case his pose would be much different than his pose at the moment of attack. Oterwise, this is another excellent pic. The colors, the lighting, the background, and ESPECIALLY the water splashes---ALL excellent. I think only the eagle's pose need be worked on. But I'm giving you a "10" anyway, because regardless of the eagle's pose, I still think it's a gorgeous picture. :)

I miss a wave behind the water splash. Exept this I think too it is wonderful. The dust on the water and between the trees is a very good idea.

To mjustmike: Thank you very much for your nice and helpful comment. Living in a big city in Germany I never saw an eagle catching a fish in real life. I've only seen it on TV. I'll keep your suggestions in mind to make it more lifelike in the future. :)

This is a fantastic picture. The nice thing about art is you don't have to follow the rules to get your message across. In my opinion the comments on the pose and wave are overstated. Do it the way you like!

Thanks a lot for your nice words! :) The eagle is a model from Zygote. It's a bit pricey but very lifelike.

Well, I love the Eagle and the sea spray but the background trees are a bit too spikey. Comments from an Englishman !!!!!!!!!!!!

But....but....but these are American or Canadian trees and they are much more spikey than English trees. ;) Thanks a lot for your nice comment, Bill!
