Description
all galleries do and should have guidelines/rules terms of service, but
and there's Always a but
can there be art if the said work does not invoke emotion, or provoke thoughtful reflection
artist have faced restrictions from religious organizations, governments, even their peers.

So very true! But I also say that the artist should create art for themselves; express what they feel inside: pain, rage, joy, love or just plain old discontent of the whole freakin' mess of the world. Now, that being said, it is up to the artist as whether to display said creation for all to see or keep it safely inside. It is up to the viewer as to whether or not any emotional response comes from the viewing. If the purpose of the art was to evoke emotion from a random viewer and said random viewer does not respond as the artist had hoped, then the artist has several choices: leave the work up or take it down. As for critics and others who would nay-say the art, they, for the most part, are afraid of any art that evokes emotions and therefore will ban it under the guise of 'protecting the peoples' from inflammatory thoughts.
enough said on my part on the art your soul sought to impart on us.
Personally, this is great work and as you can readily see, it has invoked a response. Congratulations!

Thanks and the ring of truth is heard in your words. I would and have created art that no one will see, it just comes out, I would have been that early man painting scenes in a cave. thanks again

you should have blind folded him and as well his ears. those same restrictions by "religious groups" control what Renderosity can allow. there are people that just live to find an issue with art. I am not close minded, but I feel there are certain things that should be censored since there are many customers here that are underage
seeing his brush, reminds me that I need to paint on my house again. see all the work you reminded me to do?
very expressive art and very well done

thanks Richardphotos, dig your work, I did intend to blindfold the artist, my first imaging was he would have his hands tied behind his back, he would be lying down feet tied and trying to paint with the brush between his feet. Felt that was maybe confusing, also felt eyes should be open to represent the need to see the curtailment others are placing on artist.
