I think my favorite part about this picture is that the light gradually decends the steps. wonderful view and perspective :)

Oooo, very nice. I knew I had to click it as soon as I saw the thumb. Nice detail and exposure (perhaps a bit light on the upper left but that's gotta be hard to control). Looks like limestone. I bet it would also look good in B&W.

I agree with Chuck... Try the B/W, higher contrast, lower brightness. BTW excellent shot!
