Description

Hi Mark, Hope this spiky, splashy little ball of color picks you up for your birthday. This little jewel is growing just a stone's throw from the north bank of the Rio Grande River in the old river town of Hidalgo, Texas. Have a great day. The park land I am standing on used to be in Mexico until a hurricane in 1933 rerouted the river a couple of hundred yards further south of here.

Full size this bursts---the red flower is like a fireworks (as a few people have alluded) (w/out the 'psychedelic treatment' ((mark wysiwig))), and it bursts in front of those beautiful thick leaves, like they're succulents, even though I don't think they are...A beautiful intimate burst, and thank you so much for giving this for my bday. I'm sorry I couldn't comment on it sooner, but I saw it as soon as you put it up, and I greatly appreciate it, Bill. Many thanks to you.
