Description

I did this image for a discussion on photorealism on the Daz forums - I'm not claiming this to be totally photoreal, but it is as close as I can reasonably get at the moment - set up in Carrara with Carrara's dynamic hair (which is a big factor I think) and rendered with Octane Render for Carrara - I think Octane has an edge over iRay although both are very good (and iRay has the big advantage that most content is ready set up to render with it). Anyway, let me know what you think - how could it be improved? Phil

This is really stunning. The only improvements I can suggest are more wrinkle lines. Other than that it's excellent.

Wonderfully 'Monaesque'. Very very beautiful.

Other than possibly darkening the background and her irises to make her stand out even more she is perfect. 10+

Looks very good indeed Phil. I like Octane as well. It certainly makes Carrara shine.

Very nice render. Possibly I think a bit of hawker like subterfuge is required to sell the viewer the story its a photo of a real person like a reduced ev range, poor exposure, dust on the lens etc, make the image like two stories in one. Love the hair.

Spectacular as always. I can't really add much, don't know enough. Personally, I'd dial up the pupils just a bit to add interest, but that isn't going to do a thing for realism LOL! Sorry to see you haven't posted anything in a while on Rendo - message me if you're posting elsewhere.
