You should venture down to Southern Illinois Richard to a place called Cave In Rock. Wiki claims, "Beginning in the 1790s, Cave-in-Rock became a refuge stronghold for frontier outlaws, on the run from the law ..." I have been there a couple of times. A sure attraction on the Ohio river...
