I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Beautiful landscape, Carin & I look forward to seeing more from your trip. Twenty days camping on your own is a really impressive feat, but like Andrea, I'm wondering how safe that is?

"Big Sky Country". That's what they call it in the U.S. Just open space all the way to the horizon. This is a terrific image that invites the viewer to explore. What's over that hill? I'm looking forward to more of your adventure.

OMG, shades of New Mexico! Sure looks like that terrain. In any event, this is a neato capture, and congratulations on your photo-taking safari. I suspect you tookl tonnes of pics of meerkats and lionesses.

Amazing to see this place and photo. The orange sand looks like it's very hot under your feet. And I love that lively brabche on the foreground. Wishing you a happy Easter, Dear Carin.

As many photos as you like, Dierbaar! :) I'm so happy to think of you out there on your own, enjoying the countryside you love so much. I am not at all worried about your safety out there. It's probably much better than being in the city!!
