Description

Recently I’ve seen many photos of women protesting their position in society by taping their mouth in a photo. It reminded me of a sculpture created by the British Gerald Laing. I snapped a photo of 1 of the 3 sculptures he produced in a London hotel hallway many years ago. Finally, I dug the photo out after a tedious search through old boxes, and realized that it wasn’t a very good image. Poor lighting & some ineptitude on my part. A little ‘ToyCam’ photo manipulation did more justice to the image. Gerald Laing – sculptor “Ecce Domina” A long time since I took Latin, but ‘Behold The Wife’ or ‘Behold a Wife’ is a fair translation. My thanks to those who take the time to comment.
