Cool scene. I am not sure if you have tired reducing the texture size and also reduce the mesh resolution for the characters further away. That may help to allow you to add more.

It's a good option, and I considered it. Now that I know the limitations of my system, I'll do another scene with this in mind as I set it up.

I have a fairly fast system, but I often over ride it with Poser renders. outstanding paints on the rides and composition
