Description

This house no longer exists. It burned down some years ago. It was a common southern construction style in the 30s and 40s. The center room was living area and the outer rooms were for sleeping and cooking. There were breezeways between all the rooms. This allowed for cooling breezes to pass through and the dogs could trot from front to back - thus the name. Thanks to all who have taken the time to comment on one of my postings. The feedback (negative or positive) is appreciated. I hope everyone who has clicked on one of them was pleased with having done so. Lee

A fine render of Southern country architecture. The houses usually faced in the direction of the dominant winds- usually south-north.
