Description
Arlana found Varun as a newly born kitten, he was abandoned in the woods and she took him in to raise as a pet. When Varun had grown to the size of a large house cat it was clear he was no ordinary cat and Arlana decided it would be best to set him free. Several times Arlana tried, she set him free in the woods where she had found him, but every time Varun returned home in a day or two. "I give up! Varun you win and I do admit it was lonely when you were gone."
After that Varun grew very quickly and his size made him a local curiosity, but when he learned how to speak he became famous throughout the kingdom. Scholars and Nobles came to meet him, never before had they seen a creature like Varun. Some believed he was an enchanted lion, others believed he was a werecat, but from his temperament he can best be described as a 390 pound cheshire cat. Varun is intelligent and can be very chatty at times. He is magical like a cheshire cat and he enjoys playing tricks on strangers. His favorite trick is: Now you see me, Now you don't, and now I'm behind you grinning.
Because of Varun, Arlana was appointed to the royal guards as a trail guardian and together they protect travellers on the roads within the realm. One would think there job would be easy and only a fool would challenge them, but their patrols are far from uneventful since there seems to be no shortage of fools in the world!
