Le Graal est un objet mythique de la légende arthurienne, objet de la quête des chevaliers de la Table ronde. À partir du xiiie siècle, il est assimilé au Saint Calice (la coupe utilisée par Jésus-Christ et ses douze disciples au cours de la Cène, et qui a recueilli le sang du Christ) et prend le nom de Saint Graal. La nature du Graal et la thématique de la quête qui lui est associée ont donné lieu à de nombreuses interprétations symboliques ou ésotériques, ainsi qu'à de multiples illustrations artistiques.
