I had a similar experience yesterday afternoon. Except mine involved shooing a gaggle of Canadian geese away from my ball, near a lake, on the golf course !!! I didn’t want any of them squatting on it or picking it up and flying away !!! They were quite interested in that white round thing near the water . . . . . . .

Dee, I'm going to have to stop after this. (I hope to get back for one or two more before I step down, but know that I've sat with everything during my absence.) Again, you've chosen a subject that can be very stereotyped, but which you've done with magic and great gentleness. The early morning dream light---those soft blues, some slate-like and some very deep---makes this a dream. And the swans---some of them interlacing like lovers---are full of grace and magic. Your light on some of them makes them appear as spirits.
Then there are the background trees. There's actually quite a bit of detail back there, but they're 'whispered' on, as if dreamt. In your foreground, beautiful pinks---those flowers: the only touches of anything pink or red in this otherwise very blue/white image. Beautiful accents. And the greens also stand out, and are a fine backdrop to the beautiful pinkish blooms. The woman has a posture of both supplication---greeting the morning with reverence---and offering. She's almost dancing to the morning, in a beautiful reflecting silken shawl, w/ her hands out, in offering and praise. (A visual psalm..."psalm," in the original Hebrew, meant "praise".) And she stands on a pier, a ledge, overlooking this dream-of-a-lake. You have painterly detail in the background too...
A beautiful evocation. And the front swan is quite striking in its pose, as well as in its translucent 'alabaster' texture. It's like the swan is made out of some heavenly substance...I hope all is well, and that your retreat from this place gave you peace and replenishment. I'm sorry I can't do more now (I also have an ill sister, which requires more of me), but yours is a gallery of magic, inspiration, inner light and inner flight and beauty. I find those things in everything you post. If I'm not back for more before I leave, I hope to be back for more soon...
