Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

This is an extremely beautiful and delightful house. If I were to have a house built, it would be along these lines. Glorious photo

Love your photo! This was one of my favorite houses from that day, and I'm glad to see you post this, because I'm quite sure I didn't get this shot! I was all excited about those conical porch roofs with the vines. The perfectly saturated blues and greens are a bmac trademark. :)

Thank you for finding my new home. The style is perhaps my favorite architecture. Preservationists managed to keep developers from tearing down everything so we still have a few of these left in Los Angeles. I agree with Mike about the glorious part.

A very beautiful house and I can see it with the Wisteria in bloom in the spring being very pretty. A wonderful capture and great that they have kept the house in great order. I love the architectural beauty of it.

Very appealing classic southern architecture...

I got to see Savannah several years ago, and I swear I saw this house!! I loved how every block or two had a park in the middle as well. It's an amazing place. I remember walking along the riverfront and seeing a freaking building sailing up the water. Well, it wasn't really a building, just one of those HUGE freighters chugging along!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!!

I could very happily live there (but for the palm trees). A very beautiful photograph, you could make a living from estate agents!

That house could tell a lot of stories

What a magnificent old home - plenty of history, and I'll bet plenty of stories within its walls. A great shot, Bill!

lol, andrea---you could sell your pics to real estate agents! (Yeah, your pics are too good for that.) And lol, Mark: You found his house. Well if he doesn't want it, I'll take it. Now this is what I call a real "Bill" shot. It's luminous (full size esp), it has clarity everywhere, the greens are popping, the whites so strong---real 'trim' stuff: the light brings home why they do trim in the first place---the contrasts of trees with the sheerer surfaces of the shingles, etc, is beautiful, and the long mellow lines of the stairs are beautiful. Beautiful work, Bill, you caught the full regalia of not only the house, but the whole surrounding. Even the street to the side...Bet you guys wanted to stay there longer...you were there at the perfect time of the year! A real beauty of a shot, sir W.
