Description
Our little group was exploring a forgotten region, when Delphine (the Magician) sensed a powerful malefic aura, coming from somewhere near. After a quick search, they found a cavern entrance, where the aura seems to come from.
Entering more and more deeply inside ; the cave started to transform from something natural to something clearly builded by hand. Even if the place was obviously very old, everything looks in a really good state. The huge dark blue pillars were impressive and the lack of dust on the floor was not to makes feel them secure.
Minalva, Marina and Romatzo were following Delphine, herself lead by the pulsations of the evil aura. The exploration was easy, maybe too easy. After every steps our heroes felt more and more oppressed.
They finally arrived to the place where the aura were coming from without any problems, which was not once more to reassuring them.
When Delphine seen the artefact where the energy came from, she recognised instinctively the Egg of Gornhoth.
When she was studying the magic, she heard about a very powerful Demon sealed into an "egg" by mighty elves sorcerers, long before the arrival of the humans in these lands. Because of all the wars and the catastrophes the world have known, the emplacement of the sealed Egg was lost, and only the legend remained.
The malefic pulsations was indicating that the Demon was near to be released. Delphine knew they needed to bring the Egg quickly to powerful magicians to reapply the seal. But when she took the artefact, hell was unleashed on them. Dozens of cave goblins jumped on them.
Barely escaping to the first wave of goblins, they ran away as fast as they could to the entrance. Sometime our heroes had to stop to fight goblins too close to them to be avoid, allowing the ones pursuing them to get a little closer everytime.
They finally arrived outside of the cavern, after what have seemed like an eternity, with an horde of goblins just on their heels. But the sun was fortunately still high in the sky, and the creatures, used to the complete darkness of the caves couldn't followed them.
Even if Delphine, Romatzo, Minalva and Marina were exhausted, they had no time to rest, because they needed to put the most distance between them and the cavern before the night fall. It was almost certain that the goblins will pursued them when the night will be there.
Does our heroes have really escaped the goblins ? Will they have the time to find mighty magicians to prevent the liberation of Gornhoth ? This is another story.
Some could say that was an happy coincidence that lead them into this place to find the Egg of Gornhoth. But some could argue, is there such things as coincidences ?
The End (?)
Well, I want to start by saying, Thank you, if you have read all the text. :D
This scene as usual was very fun too created. I've spent almost the same time on the creation of the story than on the 3d scene. The fact I am writing in english not make the thing easier (I hope I didn't made too much mistakes by the way).
For the 3d scene itself, in fact, the last element I have put in it was the egg. I knew I wanted some kind of artefact, but until the end I had no idea of what it could be. ^^
I thought to put a stupid thing or something anachronic. Then I decided to go on a more serious thing, but still not knowing what to choose. Then I stumbled upon this cool egg prop. Adding the glowing effect to it, end up to make the thing for me.
I ended the story on a kind of cliffhanger, but I don't know yet if I'll made a direct sequel to this scene. I have in mind a scene (that I imagined before this one) that could be apply as a follow up, so maybe it will be.
I don't have a main story actually, I just imagine things along the way. :D
