Love this shot. I saw the version you posted for Mike, and it's hard to believe it's the same train, because it seems so much longer in that shot, whereas, here, your angle and foreshortening make it seem squat and more compact. You caught real massivity here. And I love how it seems to be bumping into the car on the road---it's not of course, but it looks as if that car better hot-tail it outa there if it wants to be in one piece in the next minute or two. A fine capture of the strange, beautiful beastliness of these old trains. The shadow on it makes it seem even more of a beast. The more recent shot has more 'poetry', while this has more mass. (And it's got "Chicago" in the title---always great for a Chicagoan like me...)
