Great shot! Now we get to see the wheel arrangement and the connecting rods, which indicate the power in this loco! Keep up the good work! :-)

I just love these magnificent old steamers. It's always a wonderful treat to find one on display like this. Great capture of this beauty, Richard! I'm sure Mike will love it.

well I mentioned this in my comment on your earlier shot of this locomotive, so I decided to comment on this as well. This shot makes it seem much longer! And it really sweeps across its space. Wonderful dark hues on it, with those contrasting white rimmed wheels (I don't know if one calls those "rims"). And the rest is flat ground and trees and sky. Great pov. And it looks like an entirely different locale, from the previous shot. Wonderful shot, Richard.
(If you want to see a great opening train sequence ((in a film)), watch the first 5 minutes of "La Bête humaine," a French film which opens with a wonderful whooshing sequence, shot from the engineer's cab. It's worth it just for that. You can probably find the beginning on YouTube. You only need to see the 1st 5 minutes.)
