Description
I have a lot to learn in DAZ. I am not comfortable with the result of the 'ground plane' or lighting. I am satisfied enough with the result to post the image; and as I have approved, I welcome both positive and negative comments. However, I would appreciate suggestions with negative comments.
I've been a Poser user for about 11 years; long enough that the interface seems implicit. I tried and rejected DAZ four times over the same period; primarily because the interface is so different from Poser, I did not want to invest the time required to become proficient. My current program is Poser 2014 Pro Game Dev; using the Firefly render engine. When I look at my renders compared to DAZ's Iray renders, and Poser 11's Superfly engine; I am not satisfied with my results.
Based only on the renders from those I follow, The Iray engine seems marginally better. I want better renders; so after balancing costs to results, I see two reasonable options. Either I 'upgrade' to Poser 11 for around $200; or I invest the time to learn DAZ. CRUD!!!
If the upgrade to Poser 11 was close to $60, I'd have gone that route.Looks like I'll be spending a couple of years getting comfortable with DAZ.

Not bad it will take a while. A lot of poser stuff takes a bit of work to make look right in Iray. As always, Lights and lighting make all the difference. iray shaders work best in iray but some 3delight shaders/textures are just fine. let me know if I can help

Thank you. I am sure I will have some questions.

I find it well, the textures are very important in Iray, but also the photometric light strings as well as the setting of HDRI

Thank you. I'll focus on that..
