Like with any machine, Oulieva, or any android requires oil for working properly. Joints need to be lubricated; heat generated by their active internal parts need to be dissipated; pressure needed to be maintained for circulating various fluids. This is true for cars, industrial robots and even social androids like Oulieva. Oil, grease, water, air and other fluids are currently used for these purposes, but Maiubot decided to use air and only one type of oil for lubrication, heat dissipation medium and pressure maintenance. Greasing regularly every joint of an android (tiny joints, hundreds of them), like mechanics are doing for cars and robots was out of the question. Not only that oil lubricates joints, but it also lubricates her internal parts that are in contact with others, like : between her spindle-shape HASEL muscles, between these muscles and her bones or skin, between her organs, etc. This situation is not present for other machines; their moving components are not touching each other, except at their greased joints.
