I usually have a flashlight on me just in case I fall into a sinkhole. Trust me, you don't want to be without one when it happens. In this image we have a cave that's lit by your typical glowing cave fungus (or maybe blurry blue crystals?), may we all be so lucky. Though it looks like some light has broke through, but it doesn't matter, she's blind. It's my fault, I was messing around with eye materials and I ghosted her eyes out. Most of this was a first for me, painting a blurry spider with a blurry brush was fun. At one point it looked cute and friendly so I did my best to creep it out. The toughest challenge was color balance (cool versus warm is always a tough call), I wanted to the hide the spider so you can empathize with the warrior, but I didn't want to lose all the effort I put into painting it.
