Picking up where I left off...This piece and the next one have a lot of similar hues and shapes. This feels like a vast interior where there is no gravity, where any surface can be walked on, changing our perspective. There seems to be two recessed walkways or caverns, and two big 'corners' which jut up to the front of the image. And your blacks are used in an Abstract Expressionist manner, with lots of reds and whites and some greens tossed in, as if by a Jackson Pollock, spilled across the image. Tons of action, lots of plunges, lots of dramatic contrasts. A very fine abstract, with the feeling of de Kooning and Kandinsky peering through the peephole...excellent abstract, Steve.
