What a spectacular scene. These bridges are so graceful. Bet I know where this was...right near Fort Knox, Maine, to cross the Penobscot River. Did you go up in the tower?

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. We were coming from the north, came around the corner and saw the fort, and practically screeched on the brakes with excitement! It was one of those stops that was unplanned and SO much fun! We didn't go up in the bridge tower, and I think I had so much fun at the fort I may not have taken a picture of this beautiful bridge! I've got one of the bridge in Savannah though, and it's much like this.

outstanding bridge and capture. we have two different suspension bridges here now . one from private funds and the newest is from Federal money on an interstate highway over the Trinity River. there is no easy way to approach by walking from either side
