Description
it is a challenge to paint homes with several colors. I painted one with multiple colors in an old section of Dallas, however I do not recall painting any in the wealthy areas where I worked most of the time

If I didn't know better, I'd have thought you took this picture in my old hometown of Leavenworth, Kansas. This is a beautiful old home. I'll take an educated guess that it was built sometime in the 1880s to early 1890s.

What a lovely Victorian style home! Not what one would expect to see in Cheyenne.. A great photo of it, Richard!

man, you've done a lot of things for one lifetime...if you were a writer, you could tell a real american tale. You painted places like this? I'd imagine it's painstaking work, esp with all those victorian changes-in-design every 6 inches. Your shot is a head-on shot, half in shadow, the top half in light. And there's a bold directness to it, and just the right amount of lawn in front. A very honest, full shot, the kind architecture books would use. (I have a bunch.) And the house is a beauty.
