Description

*On dancing: a perpendicular expression of an horizontal desire.* G. B. Shaw ------------------------------------------ This sentence of Irish genius Shaw is not apt to describe in full what dancing is, but definitely is indicative of one major aspect of it: the sensuality, and the mighty power of empathic sharing that links the two dancers when they are one into another's hands, when they have to become an unique soul shared in two bodies for reachin the perfect expressivity of moves the coreography might request, and to be part of a fluent acting, which gives a visual impact to the deep power of musical waves. This is passion. And it burns when one is into it for real. The zenith where music, life and people become one thing just. Enjoy! :) --------------------------------------

Oh, it reflects this passion alright... you put so much feeling into all your work, it's refreshing when a surprising number of people here do not seem to do this. Inbetween the cold clinical vector graphics and the sub-New Age spiritual airbrushing (not to mention all the Poser dolls with their silicone-tits) there is a wealth of fascinating work here at RR that explores humanity in all its depth, a warts-and-all beauty, combining strength and fragility. Lovely work :-)

I love for such moments to turn out well. It would be a jarring expression if the processes of the spine "clicked" together at this very moment and the wild geese flew. Getting a form to emerge from the stiffness of adult silence which furthers the goals of childish play is remarkable and a real taking of the field by a choreographer. One must excuse the rude for mentioning words like "Hellbender" or salamander in the presence of such art.

It's very difficult to capture the flowing movement of dance and the feelings and emotions that the dancers are trying to convey. But you have done just that! This is art at it's best! I agree with Synapse, so much in these galleries is cold and impersonal, but then it is only graphics created on the computer, it takes extra effort to express anything beyond just the visual. It is refreshing to see art that conveys something more that just what the eye sees.

I used to live across from a dance studio and would stare out my window and into the studio for hours. This picture brought back a memory which I hadn't enjoyed in many years. Good work!

My pure creation :) the "step" is a well known pose in dance, but this is my scene.. all is fantasy work: the dancers, and the backgound too. Next one will see a very strange pose, get ready ;) Thanx to all who loved this one: and I renew the advice.. go to theathre seeing ballets!! To Anthony Jr, thank you sweet boy, for your cute words but I am not that interested in rating.. I am more keen at what people can write than anything else. Sometimes though, I keep put rating field open :)

Sensual and passionate, you really express the essence of dance in your drawing and in your words.

I know this moment, although I don't know their dance. That moment of perfect unity - of joining..... You have captured that piercing moment of grace so beautifully.

As Jim said above, it really is refreshing to see passionate artwork here at 'rosity. Your talent is never dependent on software, and that is proof positive that you are indeed a wonderful artist. As long as you are here with us there will be passion in this often cold, digital world. Thank you for sharing yourself with us Meli, there are many of us who truly appreciate it.

You've done it again...such a nice, solid image. Your people come out looking so good, great proportions and poses. Your shadowing and shading come out great. Wish I could do that. :)

This is so beautiful. The couple is so strong they could have great impact even if it was just them floating in space.

really wow...and here, youve done it,i always like how you set things on the right place, and additionally the intention, you use a theme to create a picture, catalysed by your mind, and put into a real package of emotions...someone might say youre a submitoholic, but i think,i understand, its the passion you use to create,to prevent and to achive that feeling that you have done something good today, hey what better could it be,to forget the worries and bad things in life,to create such a wonderfull,"freezed" emotion...

In tre cenni hai dato l'idea dello spazio nella stanza... eppure tutto ciche rapisce sta nelle due figure unite costeneramente, indissolubilmente. Meraviglioso.
