Nim finds a unicorn in the desert. She was hiding from a Tamarian who was after her horn to use as a weapon.

Okay, now we have seen a unicorn. Great render and story. But now i'm a bit confused, are the stories of Torthoc in the same time frame as those on Earth?

Yes, Torthoc and Earth scenes are running in the same time frame. The calendars are different in that those on Torthoc celebrate new years on our may 14th. Seasons of Menthonla and Chicago line up pretty close. Menthonla is further south so they rarely get snow and winter isn't quite as long. The length of years and days match. This scene took place only a few days after Jo's birthday.
