Most subtle, but they're there. Look at the grass for example.
Captured back on 4/24/08, a little over ten years ago. It seems just like yesterday.

To begin with, these are peppermint roses if ever I've seen any. Beautiful top shot, with such presence in the hues; and that massing of roses all packed together. Then, I can see your postwork very clearly: In the 2d, you've softened and cross-hatched, only subtly. The background is much more abstract, almost a tapestry. And in the third, you have a smoother, softer surface, and the hues are brought forth more boldly. The whites here are sheer sensuality, and the pinks---esp in shadow---are luscious. The background is a sea. Beautiful variations, esp as they are subtle. And a beautiful capture to begin with, Harry. I love the half-opened rose on the right, it's beautiful...
