been under refurbishment for quite a while. it is one of only 2 capital buildings with gold leaf on the dome in the US

your Cheyenne shots---which I've loved---give no indication that this huge thing is waiting in the wings! WIth that covering, it looks like a gigantic grain silo! Or, as Rod says, it's been annexed by SpaceX. (Or about to take off...) Love the contrast of that bizarre covered-dome with the classical facade below it. And the scaffolding. And the broad road in front of it. A real punch of a shot; and I'm glad you took it, even though the dome is covered; because one doesn't get to see a capitol looking like this! Love it.

(it could also be a giant pop bottle...or a massive salt shaker...)
