Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I feel a bit like Alice must have felt after falling down the rabbit hole...is that Wonderland out there? What a place for a cup of coffee first thing in the morning or a spot of tea later in the day:)

Yes, It sure looks like Eden. What a wonderful view this is, Andrea. You sure have green fingers. 6 Hours per day? I couldnt do that. I just couldnt. You are amazing !

Eden indeed. A beautiful and enchanted place that should be preserved. Edna Behm was a Seattle gardener who was able to save her garden from the bulldozer.

(skipping only for time, 'cause you know I see everything) I"m with the above, it's a beautiful looking garden. We've seen this glorious patch of land enough times to know how much you've put into it, cared for it, and maintained it. This view is scrumptious, with that walkway littered with pots and overgrowth and all that lushness on either side. From here, one might think it goes on forever, or into a forest (even though we can see the house back there.) And I love all the stuff in front of the windows and behind them (inside)...A sun-flare drenched shot, and it's luscious. (And you work on this 6 hours a day? That's what Helle wrote---on your garden? I'd need to rest for 3days afterwards! My knees would be suing me in court! Whatever hours you put in, it shows. Love the shot and place.)
