I have big problems with my CPU, it seems, only in upstart it says its ok but a program says it is not and it smelled last night i tried to...uh play a bit after 3-4 days of hard work in the garden which is finally done and SO AM I!!! I need a months vacation in a place where I shall do nothing LOL.
SO i dont know when you will see me post or comment, but it wont take so long. I have plans :) Just now, my PC is standing where my keyboard should stand and i have just been opening it and wacuumcleaned it. Hoped it would help but it doesnt seem so. DANG. SO i dont see well what i am writing lol Sorry for misspellings or lack of other things in my text. Wish you all a great weekend. I will turn on the pc for a short while to check mails and such of course., It is not totally dead yet. :)

It sounds like your computer might have a heat problem. You might want to clean all the fans.
If necessary, remove the CPU fan and apply a little heat-conducting paste. I'm not an expert, though. Good luck.

LOL, in her haste ShroomMagic3D called you her fiend. I suppose you could call yourself a fiend after all of that tiring gardening you're doing and now your central processing unit giving you problems. How do you know it's the CPU causing the headache? I wouldn't even try guessing what your PC hitch is. Any PC experts your way? Hope you can get all of that tsores ironed out and are back on Renderosity soon. In any event, a cool shot of the bright cherry blossom, with it tiny filaments, against the dark background, Helle.

Christian has touched on the problem, there is two things that can overheat a PC, one is that old CPU's need to have good air circulation, plus you may need to apply Thermal grease on the CPU the other thing that can cause heat is a virus or spyware. If you don't have it try C Cleaner, and Malware Bytes, both are free and very very efficient. C Cleaner will tidy up the registery, and mbam will scan for what I think you have, it's called a rootkit, a virus that hangs around in the registery and memory, and rewrites itself on boot. mbam will kick it's ass.

well I'm commenting on this AFTER you'd solved the problem, so I won't give you advice (like a couple of people did above). (See, that's a joke, because I couldn't give you advice to save my keester! If you listened to me, your computer would fly through the window and land in Finland. I know software, but hardware? Fuggeddit!) I'm glad your cyber friend helped you solve it.
The shot is an eye popper, esp full size: I love the way the flower takes over all that luscious brown-green (the leaves). And you catch it on the left side, which gives it 'attitude', a sweet balance to the right-side background. Very sweet closeup, Helle, very pleasurable full size. As for CPUs and fans, I find that screaming works fine. Racial slurs reeeeeally gets CPU's riled up. If you insult the motherboard---"you freakin' mother!"---it wakes up in no time. And Insult its circuits---that hits under the belt. I'll send you a list...Love the shot, and glad spring is hitting you guys with total warmth and growth!
