Description
Captured 5/24/18, right around the corner from me. Tons of these, many of them white, all over this area and well beyond. I have posted several shots of this flower before, but my numbering system disappeared when Renderosity decided to overhaul the site some years back. And they really screwed up the avatars at that point.
Some species of Agapanthus are commonly known as lily of the Nile (or African lily in the UK), although they are not lilies and all of the species are native to Southern Africa (South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique) though some have become naturalized in scattered places around the world (Australia, Great Britain, Mexico, Ethiopia, Jamaica, etc.)

Thank you for posting this! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what these were called so I could order some. You have made my day!

yeah, ala helle, a "flower ball". It's like a flower fireworks display. Lovely 'blooming' of the petals in a directly-above shot. And the colors---those wonderful purples and whites---contrast beautifully with all the greens around it. Nice to see another flower series surface, after the debacle of that rr changeover from a few years back...
