Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

When I was little I used to cross the roads to avoid these in a hedge near me!

Every few years we get an infestation of caterpillars. Gypsy moth, I believe, and they have no natural predators in this area. They absolutely CONSUME the alder trees here. It's no loss, since alders are basically giant weeds, but it's creepy as all getout!

Yes that looks scary indeed.
Isn't it also like that the hair, if you touch it, can lead to a strong itching?

I've seen that last year in Foret de Fontainebleau. Impressive.

Lots of insect activity going on here, Helle. The tree looks devastated. Cool capture. Since we have few if any insects around here, I find this most interesting.

OK - I see this and the first thing that comes to mind is Mirkwood.... And the spiders... Ugh...
Great shot of this creepy bush, Helle!

yeah, like Rod, I thought of milkweed and spiders too. (I think Rod meant "milkweed," though I could be wrong...) Your pic---because you let the infestation take over the whole frame---is domineering, and creepy, and strangely beautiful. Like someone came along and started a silk veil for the tree/bush, but never finished it. Big sprawling pic, and strangely beautiful.
