I have been into photography for over 40 years, and the pull doesnt lessen. As a family we have always been keen walkers, and that gets you to some interesting places.Ive recently been to Southern India as a member of an adult support team with our local community school to Chennai so the camera never cooled down i can tell you, (watch this space). I live in Chard South Somerset, and have fairly recently converted to digital, at first reluctantly, but now enthusiastically. Its great to hear others comments on your pictures and i am looking forward to loading up my space. Alan. Almost through my first week and inspiration levels have rocketed, thanks for all those comments they drive me on.

Alan, I left a comment on your Artist of the Month page, the first day it went up; but so far the site hasn't reviewed it. (They have to ok comments on award pages...) So let me say, here, that I've always considered you a photographer's photographer: Your eye is filled with grace, balance, an innate sense beauty as well as sensuality, a love for all that's opulent in nature and yet a wonderful sense of subtlety and gentleness. And your work oozes a quiet humanity. I have neglected your gallery in the last number of months, but not out of lack of appreciation for it; I just have been visiting fewer and fewer galleries, for serious lack of time. But I still see your work, and I consider you one of the most thoughtful photographers here. This pic has a beautiful silhouette, the hues are vivid but delicate, and the 'burst' of petals is wonderfully inviting without being domineering. A typical shot for you with so many of your qualities...I wrote a lot less on the A.O.M. page (because I never know what the admins will accept); but I hope I said the same ideas. Beautiful work in a beautiful gallery; and you deserve the honor as much as anyone here. Congratulations!
