In Germany some figures have different names.
Here is the complete list:
King - King (König)
Queen - Lady (Dame)
Rook - Tower (Turm)
Bishop - Runner (Läufer)
Knight - Jumper (Springer, but also Pferd = Horse)
Pawn - Peasant (Bauer)
So I decided:
The Rook is a bully girl.
The Bishop is a runing girl.
The Knight is a horsegirl.
There are 6 different figures in each color, 32 for the whole set, beside some environment like the arbiter (referee).
The figures are all made as single characters. They are exported as .obj and reimported as props as often as necessary.
This is some work to do, but it saves a lot of memory.
