Description

This picture is the very direct follow of this one : https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/the-end-/2819584/?p The monsters were less to two meters from Minalva and unconscious Romatzo. Minalva, wounded, exhausted, terrified by the unholy creatures, knew she could not do anything to stop them. Their end seemed imminent. Suddenly, a savage roar made itself heard. The roar was close, so close that the monster on the right of Minalva don't even had the time to turn its head. Already a massif sword was cutting through its neck. The second after it was a strong light who appeared. Then the staff from where the light was emitted and finally the person held it. Minalva, with an unspeakable releaf, saw that Marina and Delphine were still alive. They were covered in blood, especially Marina, but they seem pretty unharmed. The enormous joy to see her friends still alive and fighting, drained her last strength. Almost fainting, she was forced to lean the axe she was holding, letting her defenseless against the remaining creature. But the demon was not taking attention to Minalva anymore, it was staring at the staff that Delphine was pointing right into its direction. The bright light who were coming from it seemed to terrified the creature. For a moment, the time seemed frozen, then Delphine, using her last drops of magical strength, released a ray of pure light on the monster, literally pulverising it. This last effort made her almost fainted too. But Marina catched her, preventing her to fall. Marina and Delphine went to Minalva and sat near to their injured companions. Breathing heavily, their bodies already starting to hurt from the aftermath of the fight. Probably the hardest one they never had. But there was no time to rest. The wound on Minalva's right leg was profund and she was loosing a lot of blood. Romatzo state seems even more preocupating because he seems unable to weaking up. Fortunately, the town where they originaly headed for was not that far. Even if, in their actual state it will probably take the day to reach it. Delphine, completely drained, was uncapable to launch even her simpliest healing spell (the fist spell that every good magician has to learn), so they needed to band the injuries before they left. Minalva indicating to her friends some herbs, to stop the bleedings and helping to prevent infections. Minalva's during the time Delphine was bandening her thigh, spoked to her friend to what she saw when she looked at the creatures, all the unholyness of their existances. Delphine, still hearing the fear in her friend voice, tried to reassuring her. Telling her it was her exhaustion, her wounds, and the possibilty she was the only one left, that made her thought that. But there were not a big conviction in what she said, because she knew Minalva was right. She'll need to bring back to the town at least one of these creatures to study and learn more about them, even contacting peoples with more knowledge than her. But it was impossible now. Once everyone was ready to go, Marina put Romatzo on her back, prooving once more how strong she could be, despite the fatigue of the fight. Delphine was helping Minalva to walk, letting her holding her shoulder and giving her her staff to compensate her injured leg. They had disided to let here all their unessential equipments, to not been slow down more. During the travel to the city, Minalva thought of her mistake of not counting her arrows, that leaded to her been wounded by one of the monsters, and to Romatzo injuries. The souvenir of the disgusted feeling that she felt by observing the demons was also haunting her. Fortunally for her, Wood Elves lives in the present, and even if it will take more time than usual, du to the strengh of the traumatise, she'll surpasse that, and will became strongher. _____________________________________________ I hope you liked these 2 renders (the precendent and this one). After the 2 pictures with Minalva's family, who were heart lighted, I wanted to do one with a more dramatic tone. Actually, I had the idea for the first picture (The End) even before having the ones with Minalva's family, maybe even before "The Egg of Gornhoth". But I wanted to create more pictures of the group before, to try to install more the characters. I didn't had, at first, the idea for the second image, but I don't wanted to cut directly to the next scene, with everybody happy and all right (well, kind of). In the second picture, Delphine was hidding Minalva in the shadow. By moving a little the light (but not to much, because this scene happening literraly few seconds after the pressedent), I manage to have Minalva's eyes above the shadow line. I think it gives an interesting effect, like if the arrival of her friends bring back light and hope to her.
