Description
another member posted this same perspective on the same car maybe 3 years ago. I think I guessed correctly just because I vaguely recalled that Nash had more than one part of sheet metal on the fenders
I am thinking this is a 1950 Nash Ambassador

Heh - well, it a rather unique yard decoration at any rate! Cool shot of this old classic, Richard.

In those days you could tell one make from the other, someone told me. Maybe he was right. That person had an old Lincoln in the yard looking like this (condition) but fairly complete. The car was in the same place since i knew him. One day i was looking for something in his yard and the hood stood up from that old Lincoln. he was checking the ignition, coolant, oil carb and so on, put a battery in. Ten minutes later she was running. He moved her to an other place on the yard and there she stayed an other couple of years.

Well done ikke. You guys in the US have so many abandoned cars I'd love to get my hands on to restore.

I love this shot. I'm not sure what we're looking at---a museum maybe, or maybe these cars are just showpieces, art-pieces outside, I don't know. But I love the whole layout. You caught it with the car facing us, but that makes it on an angle to everything else. Real contrasts here, and visual motion. I love the sheen and rust on that car (and the missing headlights!). And how its hues seem to blend with the rocks below. And the other forms make an almost abstract out of everything. I love this. Nash's never had it so good...this is one lived-in car, having its say, and it don't give two ____s on a shingle what anyone else thinks...
