Description
This image mimics a Civil War photo from the US Naval History and Heritage Command. The USS Osage is shown tied up on the shore of a wide river. No crew is visible, but a loan soldier and what appears to be a young boy stand in the foreground. A barely visible armored gunboat passes along the opposite shore. The original photo can be seen here: https://www.history.navy.mil/our-collections/photography/numerical-list-of-images/nhhc-series/nh-series/NH-60000/NH-60295.html
The river monitor is the Osage variant of my USS Neosho. The environment is built from parts of the Swimming Lake Scene with one of Flink's skies. The soldier is M4 in the DAZ Shenandoah uniform and the boy is a scaled down M4 in the DAZ Casual Edwardian Suit. Details include mooring lines from the Rope Construction Kit, boards from Woodbutcher 3000, a Legendary Lantern and some Hivewire3D ducks.
The scene was composed and rendered in Poser 11 Pro, heavily post-processed in Corel Photo Paint, and overlaid with one of Ron's Antigue Glass Plate Textures.
