Pinocchio as the wooden warrior
Pinocchio (/pɪˈnoʊkioʊ/) is a fictional character and the protagonist of the children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883) by Italian writer Carlo Collodi. Carved by a woodcarver named Geppetto in a village near Lucca, he was created as a wooden puppet but dreamed of becoming a real boy. He lies often.

Wow, Pinocchio has come a long way since he was carved as a meek little kid hoping to someday become a real boy. Lot of scary stuff going on in this beautifully rendered scene. And that is a creepy nightmarish tree trunk to the right, and stellar vine work.
