Really interesting take on Mel's work! Speaking as a former student of his from the middle '70's I can say he would have enjoyed this version. Then he would have dove into an hour of "art critique" that would have left you exhausted but a better artist (LOL). As for me, well I got an "A" in his class which I don't think I deserved. I think he just liked me (LOL). I like what you did here.
