Description
Arthur finally was satisfied with the view from the mountain top and told Micheal he
was ready for the next destination.
"I'd like you to meet one of my best students!" said Michael. "I think he has a lot
he can teach you. The two of you will have a lot to talk about I believe!"
Another blink of the eyes and they were out in the desert near an Egyptian temple.
There were pyramids in the background and in front of them stood a very well tanned
and impressive Egyptian Pharaoh. His chariot with a double horse team were standing
patiently behind him.
"Good afternoon, Michael! So good to see you again! It has been too long since your
last visit!" intoned the Pharaoh.
"My good friend and best student, I would like you to meet one of my new students.
Pharaoh, meet Arthur."
The Pharaoh and Arthur greet each other and soon all three men were engaged in
conversation. Michael explained to Pharaoh that Arthur is from a different place and
that his country is being ruined by the greed of a few individuals. This disturbs
Pharaoh very much.
"The land is the most precious thing a human can be privileged to care for. It gives
us life. It provides all our needs and takes our remains when we die. How could any
one ever be so selfish as to abuse the land for their one close minded greed?"
"I agree!" said Arthur. "But these individuals don't think beyond their own lives. If
they did, they might reconsder what they are taking from the rest of humanity."
"Since I became ruler, I have made sure everyone respects the land. We all work
together to keep it healthy. And because of that, the land rewards us with abundance
in food and other priceless benefits. If I were you, Arthur, I would tell the people
of your country they need to take back their land! They need to treat it with the
respect is so richly needs and deserves. Once you do that, you will be amazed at how
quickly you can turn your bad situation back onto the course of order and harmony for
all. Only with the participation of everyone though, can this be done!"
"I realize the enormity of the situation, Pharaoh! But most of the people in my land
are weak willed and just don't care anymore. How could I possibly reach them with this
message that is so necessary for all to survive?"
"I don't know how you could do it. But here in my country, I am the Pharaoh. And what
the Pharaoh commands, everyone obeys and does!" at this Pharoah winked at Michael and
Michael smiled back at him as he glanced over at Arthur for his reaction.
After these discussions, Arthur had many question of Pharaoh about his land. How long
had he ruled. How many people did he rule. Who built the pyramids. And the questions
went on and on. Pharaoh was very patient with Arthur and answered as many questions as
he was able. Once in awhile, Michael would fill in when Pharaoh didn't know an answer.
After a lengthy interview/visit, Michael intervened and told Arthur, "We must be going
now! Pharaoh has a country to run after all. We are interfering with his duties if we
detain him any longer."
Courteous good-byes were exchanged and Pharaoh climbed into his chariot. As he went
racing away in a cloud of dust, he waved good-bye to them and wished Arthur good luck
with educating his people.
"Did you enjoy your meeting with Pharaoh?" asked Michael.
"Words can't describe how impressed I am with this opportunity. I suspect you must have
seen my interest in Egyptology from the book I had by my recliner. Was that part of the
reason for our trip here?"
"That and the fact that Pharaoh had a lot he was able to teach you in a very short time.
Now without further adieu, let us proceed to our next destination!"

Another great chapter in the story - and an excellent render, my friend! This is superb.
The ancient ones could teach us much, if we only take the time to listen.

Fine job on the Egyptian environment. Small detail. If you have been there you find the sun almost blindingly bright. Also everything is slightly dusty from the very fine sand.
