UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Excellent composition. I don't think she looks tired. I think she looks resolute, kind of heroic.

Ah, it's quite clear to me....... She is contemplating hands.... Hands, Bill. That's what she is thinking about.. Hands..... Trust me... Hehehehe (inside joke, folks...) 😆😁😉
This is a wonderful shot of your lovely lady, Bill! Tara does look quite relaxed - but with the camera always ready! 👍

Tara's shirt goes very well with the grain of the wooden bench. Very nice photo, Bill.

I love reading all the comments! Everyone brings their own point of view to a picture. :) I like what you did with this, and it's a nice memory. That was actually a pretty comfy bench, considering that my feet were dangling several inches off the ground!

I think I know how this person is feeling ... with age come certain realizations. Superb photo.

First of all it looks fantastic in black & white Bill. Tara doesn't look too happy. Too much walking? This is a good capture!

It's about time, to give my few cents worth of comment... It's been a long time Bill, apologies for running [fashionable] late - just want to say herewith, that I haven't forgotten you guys [quite the opposite, thinking of you both with regularity, believe it or not?]…daydreaming of a holiday in Kansas, one fine day. Life has never been the same here for me, I think you'll understand ! Tara has that far-away-look in her eyes and her mind, perhaps contemplating the next move, just like when you are playing chess, right ? - where will be my next best photo op. of my favourite subject, Bill ?... on a lighter note, maybe she is thinking: 'how on earth are we getting the huge RV across the Pacific to visit BB in OZ' ???...
IOW - there can be many variables, what is really going on here, but first things first, just having a wee bit of a rest before that next move... This photo speaks volumes Bill, and that is, what it's all about, telling a story with a photo and you nailed it ! 🧐

Four years since this great photo came here. Best wishes to you both. Hope you've been using your pool a lot.
