Description
Same fella as my previous upload with different lighting and pose.
[My description from the other upload, A Little Bit Goth: Another venture into DS. This time converting an Iray skin texture to a 3Dlight texture. Certainly not an exact translation, but good enough. Actually, I am not terribly fond of many of the Iray skin textures--too shiny to the point of looking like plastic. Still not completely sold on DS and am refraining from making too many purchases :) ]

I agree with your 'plastic' take on most skin textures. You might want to take a look at the NGS Anagenessis skin shader system which is on sale right now for $6.59. I've been using the G3F version for about 2 months and am still on its learning curve. It has so many options to accommodate different lighting scenarios that I'm still not solid on when, where, and in what combinations to apply tweaks and so some renders emerge displaying the 'artificial doll syndrome'. :-)
Nonetheless, I'm sufficiently impressed that I'm saving my pennies to purchase the more expensive updated version 'Revolution 2' system which can be used on any genesis model. But please note, nothing can be purchased that will overcome not having an Nvidia GPU card. Daz rendering is engineered for it and even 'CPU only' won't make up the difference.
P.S. Browsed your gallery. Outstanding stuff !!

An interesting take on this fellow - I've had that same look a time or three....
I find myself frequently switching skins from character to character to get the right 'look.'

I've found that I can reconvert the image by selecting either skin or matt
