Description

I don't know if John Denver would have ever sung about it, but here's a 4-shot panorama from the highest point in Missouri, Taum Sauk Mountan. Naturally, I had to get just a little higher, so I sent the Mavic up to get this view. Jo was in the van enjoying the air-conditioning while I was out slaving over a hot drone controller to bring you this view! LOL We got home today, and were greeted by 100-degree temps in KC. It was a great trip, though, and something we both needed. I'll be posting more photos in the next few days. I'll be getting to all your galleries in the next day or two - especially since it looks like it's going to be too hot to do much outside. Hope everyone is staying cool! I'd be with Jo in the van! LOL! I can't believe the temps you're having there. What happened to Spring?

It sure is pretty there, though!

Another wonderful panorama :) Yes, we are in for a miserable heat wave that will last for the next week or so...good time to get some indoor chores done.

That is a lovely view and a great shot too!

100f? We're at a decent temperature here, what...um...72F, low of 52F. All in all not too bad at all. It rarely gets that hot here. Anything over 90F is sweltering here.

Full size this is wonderful. The detail is wonderful, and the overall sweep is wonderful too. That road really stands out---don't know if this is a camera choice, a postwork choice, or both, but you bring it out so beautifully in the midst of all that deep green. And the slope of the shot brings us right into the right side, where you have shade over the trees and those beautiful rolling hills in the background. It's got so much sweep, and yet it's so gentle. This is a Rod landscape! I could sit in this vision for a long time...this is beautiful, Rod. Boy, what beauty you have not too far from you. Illinois has a great southern portion---like Kentucky, it's thick lush forest and river---but otherwise, it's pretty flat. I love when you post photos.

Well believe it or not, I've been here 25 minutes, for all of 3 comments! But at least you know I put in time. I hope to be back for another session before I step away, but it's always a pleasure to comment here, because I sit with your work at length. And you really know how to photograph with a drone.
