Suddenly the Aztec pyramid begins to twist and warp with a strange energy. I always knew the aliens were involved...

(another shout-out from Harry, and rhol_figament sees Aztec pyramids in here...) Well, I don't quite see the Aztecs here (though not knocking that he does), but there is definitely a highly integrated structure which has hewn apart and is in the midst of a very powerful energy-release. You have elements of classical cubism in a lot of your abstracts; but unlike their highly classical 'cool' hues and forms, yours have a ton of Abstract Expressionism rushing through them. Not trying to pigeon hole you in movements, but there's definitely a feeling that we come into your works at a point of tumultuous release; and the release, here, fragments what appears to be a fairly tight structure, where everything has broken into shifting, scraping planes. Maybe this is what goes on in the earth when the 'plates' shift (the tectonic plates): as if this were is the machinery right under the surface. Very powerful again; and your palette is ambers, deep reds, browns and peach hues, etc. Very beautiful, Steve.
