Description
Rose of the year 2007. Masses of lightly scented, well formed, medium pink blooms. Dark, glossy, healthy foliage. Upright habit.
A really strong grower in my garden against a South facing wall.

I can't tell you how many times, in discussing flowers with Helle, I've said "how in the world did Andrea learn all she knows about plants???" (I haven't learned 99% of the species out there.) This is a splendid rose shot, the two couldn't make a better pair, and the capture of the delicate voluminous petal array---in both flowers---is splendid. You may know it, but "rose" comes from the same root as the Sanskrit "rishi"---a seer. The idea being that the rose has a "wise, splendid nectar," just as a seer does. So there's connection with wisdom. Love the deep shadows here too, and the deep green of the leaves. A splendid shot.
